Pallet Cover PP Woven Supplier India | India Pack
Pallet Cover — Sourced From Audited Indian Factories
A PP woven hood or cover that slides over a loaded pallet to protect contents from dust, UV, moisture, and contamination during storage and transport — more durable than stretch film and rated for repeated reuse where required.
Overview
A pallet cover — also called a pallet hood or pallet bag — is a PP woven sleeve or open-base hood sized to standard pallet footprints (1200×800 mm and 1200×1000 mm are the most common) and pulled down over a finished load to seal it against warehouse dust, light rain splash, UV degradation, and cross-contamination between adjacent product lines. Procurement teams in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and food processing specify them wherever stretch-film wrapping either fails under prolonged outdoor dwell time or makes pallet identification difficult during goods-in checks.
The evaluation criteria that distinguish a reliable cover from one that fails in the field are three: UV stabiliser dosing, base-seal geometry, and fabric weight. A cover without measured UV inhibitor will chalke and split after 60–90 days of outdoor dwell, even in temperate climates; buyers sourcing for outdoor storage yards should require a documented stabiliser specification from the factory, not a verbal assurance. Base geometry matters equally — a flat-bottom hood on an uneven pallet load will gap at the corners and funnel contamination exactly where it is least wanted. Gusseted or drawstring-base constructions close that gap.
Which Type Do You Need?
| Your requirement | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Standard pallet protection — hood slides down from the top, base rests on pallet deck | Open-base hood |
| Loads where the base must be sealed to prevent floor contamination ingress | Drawstring-base hood |
| Loads on roller conveyors where top-entry is not practical; cover inserted from the side | Side-entry sleeve |
| Extended outdoor storage with sustained direct sunlight | UV-stabilised variant - specify UV stabiliser grade at enquiry |
| Need to see pallet contents through the cover without removing it | Transparent PP Woven Bag |
| Loose bulk materials to be packed and lifted — not pallet protection | Builders Bag or other FIBC — pallet covers are not bulk-material containers |
Industries & Applications
Warehousing & Distribution
Pallets staged for extended periods in shared racking accumulate dust and incidental contamination from adjacent product lines. A woven cover separates loads without requiring dedicated caging, and survives the forklift handling cycles that shred stretch film within a shift.
Manufacturing Despatch
Finished-goods pallets moving from production to despatch staging benefit from a cover that keeps the load clean between packing and loading without obscuring pallet labels — buyers specify covers with clear windows or use open-weave fabric that allows barcode scanning through the material.
Outdoor Storage
Port container yards and construction material storage sites expose pallets to UV, wind-blown grit, and light rain for weeks at a time. UV-stabilised woven covers maintain structural integrity where unstabilised film degrades within 30–60 days; factories supplying this application should provide a documented stabiliser specification
Food Processing & Despatch
Packaged food pallets require covers that prevent airborne particulate contamination without introducing fibre shedding. Drawstring-base covers that cinch below the pallet deck are specified where floor-level contamination ingress is a food-safety concern; factories supplying food-contact applications should hold ISO 22000 or equivalent
