The situation A UK-based flexible packaging distributor was building real momentum in its market, sourcing FIBC through two Indian manufacturers. As they expanded into new segments, demand began to outgrow what two facilities could comfortably cover — a wider range of bag specs, load requirements, and lead times than any two factories tend to specialize in.
They wanted to keep scaling without taking on the work of finding, auditing, and managing more Indian suppliers themselves. That's where we came in.
What India Pack did We built out their India supply base around a portfolio strategy — matching each bag specification to the facility best suited to produce it competitively and consistently. We brought on four audited facilities, including one that took over from a existing manufacturer that wasn't keeping pace with the client's growing spec range.
For every consignment, we handle spec and bag-weight review, pricing across facilities, pre-production sample approval, production-timeline follow-up, shipment documentation, and any unique requirements tied to that order. Throughout, the client works with a single point of contact. Four factories never become four relationships to manage.
The outcome Monthly import volume grew from 7–8 containers to 12–15. The broader portfolio let the distributor fulfil the full range of FIBC specs the UK market demands — including BOPP and special PP woven bags — with consistent quality across every manufacturer. That added capacity translated directly into market share: they could confidently say yes to orders that the right supply base now let them take on.
